We are very excited to announce the nominees, both individual and community organization, for the 2013 Award of Commitment.
Nominees: Individual
Peter Isaak (Good Neighbours Active Living Centre) for being a dedicated volunteer and ardent supporter. He was a driving force in the development of Good Neighbours as well as MASC formally Manitoba Multi-purpose Senior Centres.
Rod Bollman (Senior Scene at Victoria Beach) for his leadership, vision, and inspiration to the members of the seniors community. He spearheaded two major renovation and expansion projects at the Senior Scene.
Ruby Laughren (St James Assiniboia 55+ Centre) for being a program peer leader for the 55+ pickleball group. She has being the driving force behind the surge in the number of players with her enthusiasm and dedication for the sport resulting in many older adults becoming more physically fit and interacting with others.
June Freeth (Vital Seniors) for her personal commitment to the Centre and many other senior organizations in the community. She is dedicated, committed, knowledgeable and compassionate to all.
Tena Kilmury (Brandon Seniors for Seniors Co-op) for her giving freely of her time; being supportive, efficient, dedicated and reliable. She is a people person and a blessing to the organization.
Nominees: Community Organization
Kitchen Crew – Soup Volunteers (St James Assiniboia 55+ Centre) for their dedication, reliability, flexibility, helpfulness, commitment and camaraderie towards others. Their impact is inspirational to members of the community.
