Coming up at our AGM on Friday, May 30th we will be announcing the winners for our 2014 Award of Commitment.

Nominees – Individual
Jean Bateman (Pat Porter Active Living Centre in Steinbach) for all the qualities she has in relating to seniors and to her leadership and services on behalf of their causes for many years.
Jean Chorney (Beau-Head Senior Club in Beausejour) for her leadership and volunteerism over the past twelve years. She has organized and taken part in many of the activities at the Club.
Ernie Georgakopoulos (Senior Scene at Victoria Beach) for his large personality and inclusive attitude as well as his expertise in the kitchen and guidance with monthly dinners and special events.
Ingrid Jarowec (Good Neighbours Active Living Centre in Winnipeg) for her extreme dedication as a volunteer in many areas of the Centre. She enjoys meeting others, helping others, and learning new skills.
Edna Krosney (McBeth House Centre in Winnipeg) for volunteerism that demonstrates how community can be built and sustained through partnerships, enthusiasm and the sharing of knowledge.
Lynda Paul (High Steppers Senior Group – Windsor Park in Winnipeg) for her guidance in taking their club to where it is today. She loves the people at the Club and really cares about them.
Ray Massey (South Interlake Fifty-Five Plus in Stonewall) for going above and beyond for his Centre and the seniors in the Stonewall area. He is constant and unassuming – a wise and determined leader.
Nominees – Community Organization
Comitato Degli Italiani di Terza Eta (Centro Caboto Centre in Winnipeg) for their hard work and accomplishments in caring for the well being of the seniors at their Centre.
