Good Neighbours Active Living Centre proudly announces that they have been awarded accreditation status by Imagine Canada. Imagine Canada is a national charitable organization whose cause is to strengthen Canada’s charities and non-profits to ensure they are innovative, transparent, ethical and well governed.
The Imagine Canada program has a Canada wide set of standards that focus on increasing our organization’s capacity in five areas:
• Board Governance
• Financial Accountability and Transparency
• Fundraising
• Staff Management
• Volunteer Involvement
In meeting 73 organizational standards, Good Neighbours takes pride in service to the community, enhancing quality of life, building knowledge and contributing to the needs of individuals 55 years and over. This achievement demonstrates to current and future donors that the Centre operates in a principled and professional manner.
Good Neighbours is the first 55+ active living centre to achieve accreditation in Manitoba.
